Less than 15 minutes drive west of Bourg-en-Bresse, go on a culinary journey between Bresse and Provence and enjoy a cocktail of original flavours which ensure the freshness and quality of the products.
In Buellas, in the department of Ain , the restaurant « L'Intimiste » will let you discover its cookery. Particularly bright, thanks to large picture windows, the room will seduce you by its cosy atmosphere and its decoration playing on modernity linked with tradition. You will also be surprised at the wine cellar behind one of the windows of the room.
In this cozy and intimate environment, taste a seasonal cooking entirely « home made », inspired both by the gastronomic tradition of French cuisine and the hinterland of Nice where the Chef started as a cook.
Christophe selects a product he declines in his menu of the moment. Depending on season, envy, arrival, you will taste tomato, artichoke, asparagus, morel, spinach ... A thousand associations are possible: monkfish, langoustine, veal ... Just for the happiness of the taste !
To honour all these simple and true products, the restaurants renews its menu every fortnight respecting the seasons.
On reservation 72 hours in advance, you can choose the 'French Brittany Lobster menu' consisting of appetizer, starter and main course prepared from a blue lobster per person, paired with seasonal toppings, then cheese, dessert and sweets.
With your meal, choose a wine from about 100 different references in the cellar. Burgundy and Bugey are naturally represented and also find wines of other famous French vineyards : Provence, Languedoc-Roussillon, Bordeaux and Rhone Valley...

For a convivial lunch or diner, go to the Auberge Bressane of Buellas. Authenticity and tradition mixed with modernity and should satisfy your greedy temptation . In a room combining cheerful colours and a nod to the surroundings, you taste a cooking matched to the place, both traditionnal, creative and delicious.
Christophe uses mainly local products. Indeed we closely work with nearby producers : Bresse poultry, vegetables and fruits from local markets, fish from our lakes and rivers. Therefore we are confident to offer you only fresh and quality products, extremely tasty.
Refined as well as succulent, the dishes invented by the Chef pay tribute to the flavours of Bresse : fresh frogs served with parsley, Bresse poultry with a cream and morel sauce, trout from our rivers... Provence can also give you its sunny flavours : risotto, pistou, fish, fresh pasta...

Since the early 2000s, the Chef Christophe Favre runs the cuisines of L'Auberge . Owners of the place, he and his wife Gaëlle decided to open a new table in 2015 : L'Intimiste.
Before to rule his own house, Christophe worked four years at Alain Ducasse’s cuisine. He is also passed through the kitchens of Chef Christian Lyon Lherm , which gave him a taste for rigor and discipline .
The chef highlights the products that he lovingly selects, in the main, from local producers. Bresse is honored but also Provence, gourmet wink to Christophe’s first steps in the job.

Opening days :
The restaurant L'Intimiste is opened at luchtime and dinnertime from Thursdays to Saturdays and at noon only on Sundays.
The Inn is opened eveyday for lunch and dinner except on Sunday evening and Wednesday.
Opening hours :
Service from 12:00 to 1:30 pm and 7:30 to 9:00pm.
